The Project

S2N provided project development, design-assist, consulting, and implementation services for the Museum of the Bible in Washington, DC.

The Museum of the Bible is a 430,000-square-foot museum designed to provide guests with an immersive and personalized experience as they explore the history, narrative, and impact of the Bible. As one of the most technologically advanced museums in the world, the Museum of the Bible uses cutting-edge technologies like immersive theaters, interactive exhibits, and sprawling LED displays to revolutionize the visitor experience. The World Stage Theater, a technology highlight at the museum, hosts a variety of live events such as scholarly lectures, Bible readings, and performances.

Prior to construction, S2N helped our client meet their technology goals by setting technology standards for the facility, which helped create consistency among the vendors. S2N also set a low-voltage budget that allowed for early planning prior to construction.

Once construction was underway, S2N streamlined the museum’s low-voltage technology scope by acting as a single point of coordination between the client, general contractor, and more than ten trade partners, and technical vendors. This saved critical time during the project’s final stages.

In order to provide a fully immersive experience for visitors at the World Stage Theater, S2N managed the installation of a digital 3-D mapping system as well as an audio-enhancement sound system which has the acoustical effectiveness, ease of control, and concealment of over 100 speakers.
