The Project

S2N provided implementation services for the Johns Hopkins Hospital New Clinical Building in Baltimore, Maryland.

The Johns Hopkins Hospital New Clinical Building encompasses 560 private patient rooms, 33 state-of-the-art operating rooms, and expansive adult and pediatric emergency departments between two 12-story patient towers. The Sheikh Zayed Tower is the new home of the Johns Hopkins Heart and Vascular Institute and the second tower is home to The Charlotte R. Bloomberg Children’s Center

S2N installed more than six million feet of structured cabling throughout the medical facility. S2N’s scope of work also included outfitting 48 IT and vendor rooms as well as installing synchronized clocks and electronic security systems such as access control and closed-circuit television.

S2N coordinated among the technology designer, John Hopkins’ IT and facilities departments, and end users in order to enable early activation of technology systems that support system start-up and patient occupancy.
